Scenic Fine Art

Landscape work asks for a different kind of patience than a portrait or a ballgame. The subject isn't going anywhere, but the light is, and it rarely waits for me. Many of these frames came from places I had been to several times, at first light, in fog, or in the last minutes before dark, I would rarely snap that photo until it made sense in a compositional way that I tend to obsess over. .

I print this work as fine art because it rewards the time a viewer gives it. The texture of bark, the contrast of branches saturated in sunlight, the quiet of open water: these are details that come alive on paper in a way they never quite do on a screen. These are ten of my favorites, and each one is available as a fine art print through the inquiries page.
